CLEANUP CINCY
"I strongly believe the BPP is a good way to get us college students involved in the community and hopefully motivate us to volunteer on our own time. I learned that conservation of our planet is going to have to be dealt with for generations to come, but every little step towards a clean environment and a healthy Earth is highly necessary"
PRECIOUS PLASTIC CINCY
"As someone who has frequently been in art spaces and studios, it is common for materials and supplies to be wasted on the daily. At Precious Plastics Cincy, we learned how you incorporate sustainability within a studio space by reusing materials, taking parts from older projects and using them for new ones, etc. My experience at Precious Plastics Cincy is something I want to incorporate as a future industrial designer. I want to help emphasize the importance of sustainability within design to other fellow designers, and hopefully help reduce the carbon footprint within the industry"
VILLAGE GREEN FOUNDATION
"The Village Green Foundation was working on improving their garden for the upcoming spring, with the ultimate goal to grow vegetables to provide to the neighboring community and act as a bike repair station. I learned that even for something like a bicycle co-op where a garden may not seem directly related, there are always ways to incorporate better practices for the environment that can also help the business and community as well"
